Similiarly, if you start "The Ranken Initiative" before chapter 3, Imperial players can ask Admiral Ranken about the Treaty, and she'll respond with "Yes, well, neither side is exactly advertising this conflict. SIS Operative: The Empire might attempt to claim Kuat under the Treaty due to its proximity to Balmorra. Player: If the Empire is on the attack, we should be doing all we can, not sneaking around. The Republic story quest's name "The Secret War" makes more sense when you pick it up while the Treaty of Coruscant still holds up, for instance.Īn excerpt from the dialogue while you're still in act 1 or 2: The problem with KDY is that it has two very different setups depending on when you pick it up. so for that I had to bug Charles for the best place to stick it. KDY is like that, too, actually adapting to where you are in the story. From what I remember there's nothing specifically placing it after (or before) the Kaon arc, so I left it where my predecessors put it. The flashpoints happen after the storyline, and you're on Ilum already, so those go immediately after.īH and some of the other things are only really "between A and E", leaving some wiggle room for interpretation. Why is black hole so far down? I always thought it happened immediately after Ilum I swear sometimes I think the program has gremlins coded into it, just to mess with people updating stuff T_T and now to figure out when that fell off. Shouldn’t the Seeker Droid quest line have the Dread War symbol? There's an updated version where they're back where they belong. Two Czerka flashpoints are placed before the CZ-198 daily area? Surely they should be after. It makes the ops feel less epic (vs the Oricon ones, where the build-up was amazing, so fighting the Dread Masters felt immensely satisfying) now that they basically won't give us (raiders) anything but the thinnest self-contained story (to not have another Oricon, for the solo people T_T). It kills me that Valkorion and his kids weren't an op that one person was able to destroy him vs needing a cooperative effort and make you actually work for it, with a solo ending (ala Revan) to make you "the" one to kill him. On a similar note (solo vs group people) It's also dev time that can be better spent making new content as opposed to adding to old content most people are unlikely to do. Solo modes have to delete a lot of stuff to make them work when they're meant to be done by a group of 4/8. Why is it that the never-again-mentioned Directive 7 flashpoint has a story mode but the constantly mentioned Kuat Drive Yards flashpoint does not? You'll run out of new things to discover after about 4 characters, so it's best to give yourself time to forget things before you do it again Once you feel like it's been a good while since you played the story missions past the base class stories, then its probably a good time to get some of those other characters up there.Īll class stories are worthwhile to play, but just sitting through the expansions (especially kotfe and kotet) with 8 different characters is just a real slog. The game condenses the number of stories down as you progress, to the point that for a good chunk of it, it can feel pretty repetitive to sit through. I personally recommend completing all class stories, and then picking your favorite character from each faction to continue on to the rest of the story. You will feel like you're missing out on a lot of the game, but it's still enjoyable to play through the story. It's got a lot of story content that can be soloed, but it's still an mmo.
